All Marine Month events are free, virtual and approximately 40 minutes in length.
The events are designed for Grades 5-8, and can include videos, simulations, games, quizzes and skill-building exercises, and some presenters may even call in from the field (e.g., from a port, a shipyard, the deck of a ship or even a helicopter! Students will have an opportunity at the end of each presentation to ask questions.
There are two ways to participate in an event; live as a featured class on camera, or live and off-camera via YouTube. If you choose to participate on camera, you will be notified by a staff member of Can Geo Education if your class is selected as a featured class.
