Climate Change Resources

Climate change affects so much more than just ice caps — it touches everything from our beautiful natural landscapes and rich wildlife, to complex industrial processes, urban infrastructure and food systems. And different people experience climate change differently. For example, climate change exacerbates the difficulties already faced by Indigenous communities including political and economic marginalization, loss of land and resources, human rights violations, discrimination and unemployment.

Use the collection of resources below to introduce students to the main features of climate change and its effects on different communities and the environment, exploring problems such as Indigenous climate resilience, melting permafrost and ocean acidification.
