This map is out of this world! Composed of images taken by Canada’s RADARSAT-2 Earth observation satellite, it can be used by teachers and students to explore how satellites are used to study and protect resources and lands in Canada. Launched in December 2007, RADARSAT-2 has been enhancing our understanding of marine environments, ice dynamics, environmental change, disaster and resource management and mapping in Canada. The tiled map is 100 pages in total and is best printed in colour to easily locate places in Canada with unique characteristics identifiable through the radar data.
